TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 ACURA ILX. WHILE THE CONTACT'S DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING 2 MPH THE VEHICLE JERKED FORWARD INDEPENDENTLY WHILE APPROACHING A STOP. ADDITIONALLY, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO SLOW DOWN EVEN AFTER THE DRIVER REMOVED HER FOOT FROM THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL AND DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER TWICE, BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2016 ACURA ILX. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN RATE OF SPEED, THE CONTACT STATED THAT SHE WAS T-BONED BY ANOTHER VEHICLE WHILE EXITING THE HIGHWAY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY UPON IMPACT. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE DRIVER SIDE WINDOW SHATTERED INTO SEVERAL PIECES AS A RESULT OF THE IMPACT. THE CONTACT DID NOT RECEIVED MEDICAL ATTENTION AT THE SCENE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AND THE VEHICLE WAS TOTALED AT THE SCENE. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT TOW YARD. THE CONTACT SOUGHT MEDICAL TREATMENT AFTER THE ACCIDENT FOR GLASS THAT HAD BEEN LODGED INTO VARIOUS PARTS OF HER BODY. THE NEXT DAY, THE CONTACT WENT TO HER PRIMARY DOCTOR WHERE AN X-RAY DISCOVERED A BULGING DISC IN HER BACK AND BRUISES TO HER LEFT HIP AND LEFT SHOULDER. ACURA OF ORANGE PARK (7200 BLANDING BLVD, JACKSONVILLE, FL 32244) AND THE MANUFACTURER HAD BEEN NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND NEITHER OFFERED ANY ASSISTANCE FOR THE MATTER. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. SAME AS THE OTHER INCIDENTS SUBMITTED BELOW - MY CAR ACCELERATES WHEN I APPLY THE BRAKES. I HAVE TO TAKE MY FOOT OFF OF THE BRAKES AND REAPPLY BEFORE THE CAR REACTS AND STOPS. THIS FAULT OCCURS WHEN I'M SLOWING DOWN AND ALMOST AT A STOP, SO THIS HAS HAPPENED WHEN I HAVE BEEN IN CLOSE PROXIMITY OF OTHER CARS IN FRONT OF ME, PEOPLE IN CROSSWALKS, APPROACHING MY NEIGHBORHOOD GATE, SLOWING DOWN TO MAKE A TURN, SLOWING DOWN WHEN APPROACHING STOP SIGNS - I HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO RUN THE STOP SIGN. THIS HAS HAPPENED 8-9 TIMES. FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED, I THOUGHT IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN MY MISTAKE. AFTER THE 3RD OR 4TH TIME, I WAS SURE IT WAS NOT. I BROUGHT MY CAR BACK TO THE ACURA DEALERSHIP THAT PURCHASED THE CAR FROM. I HAVE TAKEN THE CAR THERE 3 TIMES AND ALL 3 TIMES, AFTER RUNNING INSPECTIONS, I'M TOLD THEY ARE 'UNABLE TO VERIFY CUSTOMER'S CONCERNS' BECAUSE THEY 'CANNOT DUPLICATE THE CONCERN'. THEY GAVE ME MY CAR BACK TO DRIVE. I FEEL EXTREMELY UNSAFE IN MY ACURA.

HE DELETED THE MESSAGE WITHOUT TELLING ME AND SAID THOSE ERRORS ARE CAUSED BY A LOW BATTERY. HE WENT TO TEST THE BATTERY AND IT TESTED FINE SO I WAS TOLD THAT THERE WAS NOTHING TO FIX. WHEN I TURNED MY CAR IN THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY WON'T COVER THE INSURANCE WHICH MEANS I HAVE TO BUY EXTRA INSURANCE ON THE LOANER CAR. WHY DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE EXTRA INSURANCE? ISN'T ACURA RESPONSIBLE FOR THAT? NOW I HAVE TO PAY INSURANCE ON MY ACURA AND THE RENTAL VEHICLE! THIS ISN'T RIGHT AT ALL. I CALLED MY INSURANCE COMPANY TO SEE IF THEY CAN DO A TEMPORARY CHANGE OF VEHICLES AND THEY SAID THAT THEY COULD ONLY DO IT FOR A MAXIMUM OF TWO WEEKS.
