THE SERVICE ADVISOR STATED MAKE SURE TO FILL IT UP AND WATCH IT NO NEED TO BRING IT IN AT THIS TIME. ON MARCH 15, 2017 THE VEHICLE POPPED AN ENGINE CODE FOR BOTH KNOCK SENSORS AND PERFORMANCE OF THE SENSORS. I THEN MADE AN APPOINTMENT THAT EVENING FOR THE FOLLOWING MORNING. AFTER MAKING THE APPOINTMENT I CHECKED THE ENGINE OIL AND NO OIL WAS PRESENT AT THAT TIME AGAIN. I ADDED 2.5 QUARTS OF OIL TO MAKE THE DRIVE TO DEALERSHIP THE NEXT MORNING. THEY PERFORMED THE SERVICE LISTED IN THE BULLETIN. AS OF TODAY THAT SEEMS TO HAVE FIXED THE PROBLEM. THE REASON FOR LISTING THE COVERED SERVICE IS THE PROBLEM SEEMED TO BE GETTING WORSE WITH ONLY 18,000 MILES. THERE HAS NOT BEEN A RECALL SO FAR AS I KNOW. I have had oil consumption problems. Changed oil before due made all maintenance work on time or before due. Right after I bought it I put the main seal in it. Because it was leaking oil. That was$1000 more added to my loan. Put 4 hub bears on the front because of the steering instabilities which corrected it for a short time. But now that I am trying to sell the car I hear there is a recall on the motor but when I run it here there isn't so i am stuck. It hurts me to ride or drive it due to spine issues. And now I am stuck with this suv. Thank you GM for having us buy American.

AFTER REFUELING VEHICLE, I NOTICED A STRONG GAS ODOR THAT DID NOT GO AWAY FOR SEVERAL DAYS. I TOOK THE VEHICLE THE A CHEVY DEALER WHO IDENTIFIED THE PROBLEM AS A CRACKED FUEL TANK CONNECTOR, AS SHOWN IN THE ATTACHED PHOTO. APPARENTLY GM HAS RECOGNIZED THE ISSUE AND HAS SINCE REDESIGNED THE PART, AS SHOWN IN THE SECOND ATTACHED PHOTO. THIS VEHICLE HAS UNDER 80K MILES, HAS NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT, NOR HAD ANY OTHER INCIDENT THAT WOULD HAVE CAUSED THE PART FAILURE. THE FAILURE APPEARS TO BE A STRESS CRACK DUE TO A DEFECTIVE, OVER-STRESSED, POORLY DESIGNED, OR POORLY ASSEMBLED PART. IN SHORT, THIS PART SHOULD NOT HAVE FAILED. FURTHERMORE, THE FAILURE REPRESENTS A DANGEROUS SITUATION, DUE TO THE FUEL LEAK THAT OCCURRED. THE REPAIR WAS ON THE ORDER OF $1500, BECAUSE THE DEALER INDICATED THAT BOTH THE GAS TANK AND FILLER NECK NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THIS IS A SUBSTANTIAL REPAIR FOR A RELATIVELY LOW-MILEAGE VEHICLE.

MY CAR BEGAN OVERCONSUMING OIL THE MOMENT I BOUGHT IT IN 2016. IT BROKE DOWN ON THE HIGHWAY AND HAD NO OIL IT EVEN THOUGH I JUST HAD THE OIL REPLACED MERELY DAYS BEFORE. WE WERE IN ANOTHER STATE, SO I HAD TO HAVE THE CAR TOWED AND RENTED A RENTAL CAR FOR SEVERAL DAYS. IT COST ME OVER $1,000 TO COMPLETE THE REPAIR AND ASSOCIATED RENTAL COSTS. ULTIMATELY, THE CAR WAS SUBJECT TO AN OIL CONSUMPTION TEST AND THE ENTIRE ENGINE HAD TO BE REBUILT. LAST YEAR, MY TRANSMISSION COMPLETELY WENT OUT WHILE DRIVING ON A STREET. CAUSE FOUND BY TECH WAS ENGINE DAMAGE DUE TO EXCESSIVE OIL CONSUMPTION. MANY ENGINE PARTS WERE REPLACED. TIMING CHAIN AND VALVES WERE COVERED BY GM WHEN MGR OF ART HASSLER SEEN IT WAS A EQUINOX THEN PUT BACK IN LINE BECAUSEOF DATE THE REPAIR HAD TO BE DONE. 2300.00 AND OVER TO GET OUT. 2 SERVICE PAPERS. NO OIL LIGHT CAME ON. MAY STILL HAVE DEBRIS IN ENGINE. NEEDS EXHAUST MANIFOLD,BALL JOINTS JUST HAD FRONT BRAKES REPLACED AND SENSOR THAT SAID ALL WHEEL DRIVE IS OFF FEATURE AT MIDAS. ITS ALWAYS SOMETHING. GM SHOULD DO SOMETHING THEY SHOULD HAVE APPROVED MY CLAIM AS IT WAS IN THE SHOP THE WHOLE TIME FROM 12/11/2019 TO 1/28/2020. 2.4-LITER ECOTEC ENGINES SUFFER FROM THE DEFECT THAT CONSUMES OIL AT A VERY HIGH RATE. I EVEN PULLED OVER AND GOT OUT AND TRIED TO PULL UP ON THE STATIONARY CONNECTION PIECE BUT IT DONT BUDGE . WHOEVER DESIGNED THESE 2010 CHEVY EQUINOX FUD A VERY POOR JOB ON NOT THINKING OF LARGE FOLKS WHO DRIVE THESE SUVS. I STILL CAN'T GET IT LATCHED. I HAVE TO BUY AN EXTENSION PART THAT WILL CLICK IN THE FEMALE PART AND THEN EXTEND OUT A GOOD 5IN SO I CAN GET IT TO LATCH OR BUCKLE AND OPERATE VEHICLE SAFELY. I NOTICED THIS AS I GOT IN TO GO TEST DRIVE THIS 2010 EQUINOX LTZ. AND I COULD NOT GET IT TO LATCH I TRIED FOR 5 MINS AT THE DEALER LOCATION BUT DROVE OFF. PULLED OVER TRIED AGAIN, MO LUCK EITHER TIME. NOW AN EXTENSION WILL COST ME $15-20 AT LEAST. SO DOUBLE THAT BECAUSE IF I BUY ONE I'LL NEED ANOTHER FOR THE PASSENGER SIDE WHEN MY WIFE DRIVES AND I'M THE PASSENGER SO THIS WILL COST ME $40 FOR SOMETHING THAT SHOULD OF BEEN ADDRESSED DURING MANUFACTURING. IT IS LOCATED CLEAR DOWN INSIDE BETWEEN THE SEAT AND THE BACK REST OF THE SEAT. VERY POOR LOCATION. PEOPLE ARENT GOING TO FIGHT THE BELT AND WON'T WEAR IT NOW. THINK OF LARGE PEOPLE WHY DONT YOU. IT NEEDS RECALLED AND THAT LATCH NEEDS MOVED UP AND TO THE SIDE OF DRIVER NOT AROUND THE BACK OF THE DRIVER.

COMPUTER CHIP MALFUNCTION, STABILITY TRAC, SMOKE FROM EXHAUST WITH FUMES RELEASED INTO THE INTERIOR,, DRIVER SEAT MALFUNCTION, AND OTHER THAT I CANNOT DO IT INTO WORDS , THIS ALL HAPPENED WHEN VEHICLE HAD 138,000 MILES AND ALSO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT , FUEL PUMP , IGNITION COMPARTMENT, VEHICLE IS A 2010 CHEVY EQUINOX ALL WHEEL DRIVE LTZ AND ALSO THE AWD DOES NOT WORK LIGHTS FLICKERING MULTIPLE MALFUNCTIONS WHEELS LOCK UP SOMETHING WITH THE DIFFERENTIAL I DON'T KNOW IT DOES NOT EVEN SHIFT WHEN I PUT IT IN THE MANUAL I'VE DONE EVERYTHING I COULD TO GET INSPECTIONS AND I CANNOT FIND THE RIGHT DEALER TO GIVE ME AN ANSWER THEY ALL JUST WANT MY MONEY AND I'M AN HONEST PERSON AND I WANT TO HELP A GREAT MECHANIC OUT BY BRINGING THEM BUSINESS AND REFERRING THEM CUSTOMERS I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO I'M STUCK I NEED HELP PLEASE I HAVE A ONE-YEAR-OLD SON I HAVE A FAMILY AND WE HAVE ONE VEHICLE AND IT'S THE CHEVY EQUINOX, OH AND ALSO THERE'S TWO DIFFERENT SIZE TIRES BEING THAT IT'S ALL-WHEEL DRIVE THE FRONT TIRES HAVE SMALLER WHEELS I MEAN SMALLER TIRES THAN THERE IS ON THE REARS SO BOTH FRONTS AND PASSENGER ARE SMALLER THAN THE RE AR DRIVER AND REAR PASSENGER THE ONES ON THE REAR ARE CORRECT AND WAS SUPPOSED TO BE ON THAT CAME OUT OF FACTORY THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO BE ALL FOUR OF THE SAME OF THE ONES THAT ARE ON THE REAR BECAUSE OF THE FACT IT'S ALL WHEEL DRIVE AND THEY CAN MESS UP THE TRANSMISSION AND I THINK IT DID BUT I'M NOT SURE I NEED PROFESSIONAL HELP ASAP THANK YOU SO MUCH AND HAVE A BLESSED DAY

IT USES OIL LIKE CRAZY. WE HAVE CHANGED EVERYTHING,BESIDES GETTING A NEW MOTOR. I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM WORK TONIGHT AND THE ABS AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT CAME ON OUT OF NO WHERE. MY BRAKES WHERE TRYING TO LOCK UP. WHEN YOU CRANK IT NOW IT MAKES A FUNNY NOICE
