I HAVE A PUSH TO START AND MY CAR WILL NOT SHUT OFF IT KEEPS SAYING THAT THE CAR IS NOT IN PARK. AT THIS TIME I AM NOT ABLE TO DRIVE CAR BECAUSE OF THIS PROBLEM, THE ONLY WAY I WAS ABLE TO GET THE CAR TO SHUT OFF WAS I HAD TO LET IT RUN OUT OT GAS AND NOW IT IS JUST SITTING IN THE PARKING LOT NOT ABLE TO BE DRIVEN.

FOR TWO YEARS NOW, FUEL LEAKS FROM MY TANK AFTER EVERY FILL UP. WHEN STATIONARY IT CREATES A GAS PUDDLE. THERE IS A STRONG FUEL SMELL IN MY GARAGE WHEN TANK IS MORE THAN HALF FULL. MANY OTHER 2011 CHARGERS ARE HAVING THIS ISSUE AS WELL. A MECHANIC ONLINE HAS STATED IT IS DUE TO A CRACKED AUXILIARY FUEL PUMP MODULE THAT SHOULD NOT BE THIS DAMAGED UNDER NORMAL USE.

ON FREEWAY WHEN LIGHTS ON DASH ALL STARTED FLASHING. AS PULLING OVER, I LOST POWER STEERING IN MY CAR AND ALL ELECTRONICS. AS SOON AS I PUT IT IN PARK MY CAR SHUT OFF. LOOK UP THE P60 RECALL ON 160AMP ALTENATOR ON CHARGERS. I HAVE THE 180AMP THAT DID THE EXACT SAME THING BUT IS NOT COVERED UNDER RECALL. THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED AS IT CAN BE A MAJOR HAZARD TO ME OR OTHERS. ALL WITH NOT ONE INDICATION MY ALTENATOR WAS GOING OUT.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT A WEEK AFTER THE REPAIR, THE SERVICE ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS INFORMED THAT THE THERMOSTAT WAS NOT PROPERLY CLOSED AND THAT A DIAGNOSIS NEEDED TO BE PERFORMED. THE VEHICLE WAS ALSO INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V046000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) BUT THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. DEAL WENT GREAT IM ON MY WAY BACK HOUSTON I NOTICE THE GAS TANK IS FULL KNOW 20 MIN INTO THE RIDE I START SMELLING GAS. SO I ROLL THE WINDOW DOWN GOT HOME LIFT UP THE BACK SEAT I NOTICE THE GAS SMELL HAS GOTTEN STRONGER NOW IAM LOOKING AT THE FUEL PUMP WITH GAS ON TOP ONE SPARK HOLE CAR COULD HAVE BLEW UP...THESE MECHANIC ARE A F..K.. Summary of Complaint

MY ALTERNATOR WENT OUT AROUND 45K MILES IN 2013/2014. I HAD IT REPLACED; IT HAS SINCE BEEN RECALLED, BUT DODGE REFUSED TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE ISSUE WHEN IT WAS BROUGHT IN EVEN THOUGH THERE WAS A STRONG SMELL OF SOMETHING ELECTRICAL BURNING ALONG WITH A LOSS IN ELECTRICAL POWER. IN 2016, AT AROUND 75K MILES, FUEL STARTED LEAKING FROM JUST IN FRONT OF THE REAR PASSENGER-SIDE TIRE. THE GASKET BETWEEN THE TANK AND PUMP WAS REPLACED. AFTER THE NEXT FILL UP, THE LEAK BECAME WORSE. I HAD THE CAR TOWED TO ANOTHER SHOP. WHEN THE TOW TRUCK DRIVER WAS DRIVING IT ONTO THE TRUCK, GAS WAS SPRAYING DOWNWARD WITH A GOOD AMOUNT OF PRESSURE. THE SECOND SHOP ALSO SUSPECTED THE GASKET DUE TO THE DESIGN OF THE FUEL SYSTEM. THEY ALSO REPLACED IT, BUT THE LEAK PERSISTED. AFTER FURTHER INVESTIGATION, THE FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY HAD DEVELOPED A CRACK. I DON'T APPRECIATE THE THOUGHT OF DRIVING SOMETHING THAT COULD CATCH ON FIRE OR WORSE. APPARENTLY, THE FUEL SYSTEM WAS "REDESIGNED" POST 2011 MODELS. DODGE REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT A FUEL SYSTEM ISSUE CAN RESULT IN A MAJOR HAZARD. AN OIL CHANGE SHOP EVEN COMMENTED ON THE STRONG GAS SMELL AND WARNED OF THE DANGER.
