2015 Doge Durango, front passenger seat headrest malfunction "Active Head Restraint" and deployed while not in an accident. Headrest is available for inspection if requested. This occurred while the vehicle was being operated and caused a violent distraction. This could cause an accident as a result which would affect all in the vehicle. Additionally a direct impact/blow to the head from this defective headrest could lead to a head injury and/or cause an accident to occur. This has been reproduced in the same way by numerous consumers and third parties. Currently the defective headrest in question has not been inspected but communication with the manufacturer in progress. In regards to warning signs prior to the malfunction. There were no visible and/or audible signs this was about to occur. The headrest has received normal use which is very minimum. Research about this issue has shown this issue is documented and is present in multiple versions of the 2015 Dodge Durango but is not limited to just that year. Please investigate this issue as this is literally an accident waiting to happen.

Vehicle came to an abrupt stop on road. I was unable to get my vehicle into neutral or drive to safely move my vehicle to the side of the road. After several failed attempts to restart my vehicle, a tow truck company had to tow my vehicle. My Fuel pump was bad and had to be replaced. A mechanic told me it is rare for a fuel pump to go bad in a vehicle with less than 100,000 miles on it.

We were entering a highway from an on ramp and the car would not accelerate. We were almost hit from behind because of it. We took the car in to have it looked at and it is a faulty TIPM "totally integrated power module". There were issues with previous years models of Dodge Durangos with the same issue and I believe that recall should extend to newer years. From what I researched: The TIPM lawsuit alleges Chrysler sold and leased model year 2011-2013 Dodge Durango and Jeep Grand Cherokee SUVs equipped with defective "totally integrated power modules, which allegedly cause a variety of electrical problems including non-starting, stalling and fuel pump problems. The plaintiffs claim Dodge and Jeep owners have spent a small fortune on unneeded repairs for batteries, fuel pumps and other car parts, all while the real trouble was caused by defective TIPMs.

As the driver, I reached into the back seat to hand my son something and both front seat head rests deployed! There was not accident or anything that should have caused this. This could have hurt me if my head was rested on the head rest at the time and now I have two head rests that are deployed and can’t fix them! The taillights on my vehicle have developed a leak for water to enter the housing, and cause them to burn out. This is common amongst all early model years 2014 and even up to the current model year. This is a manufacturer defect and poses a serious safety concern. Drivers behind me may not be able to see my brake lights if they are burned out. The housing is for led lights and is VERY expensive, it should have been sealed better for the life of the vehicle. Again, this is a very serious problem and deserves to be investigated properly. I was coming back from lunch with my wife and kids when all of the sudden the passenger headset deployed without warning on my 2015 Dodge Durango pushing my wife's head forward. Upon investigation, the contact discovered corrosion on both taillight assemblies and on the rear license plate lights. The contact discovered that the failure was caused by excessive moisture build-up in the rear taillight assemblies. The contact initially called the local dealer and was informed that there were no recalls on the Vin. The contact was then referred to the manufacturer for assistance. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and confirmed that the Vin was not under recall. The contact was referred to the NHTSA for assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. While driving to work this morning, I was suddenly hit so hard in the back of the head, my face almost hit the steering wheel. The hit to my head caused me to swerve almost hitting two cars in the lane next to me. I thought I had just been in a car accident! Once it was safe for me to pull over I saw that the driver side headrest deployed. There were no signs or warnings this was about to happen and we have never had problems with the seats. DODGE IS AWARE OF THIS ISSUE AS YOU CAN NO LONGER BUY THIS MOUNT AND YOU HAVE TO BUY THE ENTIRE SHOCK WITH MOUNT ATTACHED. THIS ISSUE WAS DISCOVERED UPON CHANGING THE SHOCKS. THIS HAS BEEN THE CLUNKING NOISE COMING FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE WHEN GOING OVER SMALL BUMP IN THE TERRAIN.
