A LETTER I RECEIVED FROM FORD IN DECEMBER 2017 SUGGESTED THAT I NOT ALLOW ANYONE TO RIDE IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT UNTIL THE REPAIR WAS MADE! SO I FEEL LIKE I AM RIDING AROUND IN A TIMEBOMB. Safety Recall Notice 19S54/NHTSA Recall 19V-904 Received recall notice April 2021 that the parts HCU (hydraulic control unit) for the antilock brake system is faulty. I bought this vehicle new in 2006 for my wife and I will not let her drive it. It is very dangerous to be driven on the road at this point. The headlights are so foggy that night driving is dangerous. I applied a liquid to the exterior of both lights and that improved visibility for about a year. I PAID CASH FOR MY CAR BEFORE I REALIZE THAT THE COMPANY HAD OVER 4 RECALLS ON THE CAR. 1ST RECALL I WAS IN A RENTAL FOR OVER A MONTH BECAUSE OF THE NAKATA AIRBAG IF DEPLOYED WOULD HAVE CAUSED HARM TO MY PASSENGER BY DEPLOYING GLASS-LIKE PARTICALS. AND NOW 2ND RECALL IS THE ANTI-LOCK BREAK WHICH CLAIMS IT CAN BE OPEN CAUSING YOU TO HAVE TO BREAKER SOONER POSSIBLE CAUSING A CRASH. I AM CURRENTLY NOT ABLE TO PURCHASE A NEW CAR AND WITH THE FORD SETTLEMENT HAVEN'T HEARD ABOUT THE SAFETY OF US DRIVING UNDER THESE CONDITIONS.
