I HAD A 2012 HYUNDAI SONATA I FINANCED FROM PRESTIGE AUTO IN DARTMOUTH MA. THE VEHICLE HAD 66,002 MILEAGE. I MADE SURE EVERYTHING WAS UP TO DATE AND FIXED PRIOR TO PURCHASING VEHICLE. LONG STORY SHORT WITH ALL THE RECALLS THESE SONATAS HAVE ENGINE BEING ONE OF THEM. I STALLED ON THE HIGHWAY DUE TO THIS ALMOST CAUSING AN ACCIDENT WITH THE FEAR OF BEING SERIOUSLY INJURED AND CAUSING INJURY TO ANOTHER PERSON DUE TO THIS. I CONTACTED HYUNDAI MOTOR CORPORATION AND BETTER BUISNESS BUREAU AND WAS FORWARDED TO CONTACT THIS. I TRADED IN THE VEHICLE ONLY GETTING 1,500 FOR IT WHEN I STILL OWED 6,698 AND HAD TO PAY THAT OUT OF MY POCKET. ALL OF THIS COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED IF HYUNDAI WAS COOPERATIVE BUT INSTEAD THEY DID NOTHING!! I WASN'T KEEPING A VEHICLE THAT WAS UNSAFE AND TO WORRY IF I'M GOING TO BE ALIVE OR DECEASED EVERY TIME I'M IN IT.

IN JUNE 2019 I PURCHASED 4 BRAND NEW TIRES ( GENERAL ALTIMAX BRAND) FROM BENTLEY HYUNDAI. SINCE THE PURCHASE I HAD TO REPLACE ONE NEW TIRE IN AUGUST 2019 DUE TO FREQUENT LOW AIR PRESSURE. NOW I'M IN DEC 2019 AND FREQUENT LOW AIR PRESSURE CONTINUES TO HAPPEN. THE GENERAL ALTIMAX TIRE BRAND IS DANGEROUS AND HAS POOR QUALITY. AFTER HAVING MY VEHICLE TIRES SERVICED THERE WAS NO NAILS IN THE TIRE BUT WAS INFORMED GENERAL ALTIMAX TIRES ARE SUBSTANDARD QUALITY AND MAY CAUSE SAFETY CONCERNS. AS A DRIVER I DO NOT WANT TO BE ON THE ROAD AND THE AIR JUST DEFLATES CAUSING AN ACCIDENT OR DEATH. MY VEHICLE IS PARKED AT WORK 8 PLUS HOURS 5-6 DAYS A WEEK OR DRIVING CITY STREETS TO RUN ERRANDS OR AT CHURCH. FOR THE PAST 3 DAYS MY VEHICLES HAS BEEN PARKED AND TODAY I START MY VEHICLE AND THE LOW PRESSURE LIGHT COMES ON AGAIN. I JUST HAD MY TIRES CHECK ON 11/26/19. SINCE THE PURCHASE OF MY VEHICLE IN DEC 2014 I HAVE REPLACED 12 OR MORE LIGHTS BULBS. FRONT HEADLIGHT AND BACK BRAKE LIGHTS. BENTLEY HYUANDAI DEALERSHIP WHO SOLD THE VEHICLE TOLD THE BACK BRAKE LIGHTS ENTIRE CASING HAD TO BE REPLACED BECAUSE IT MELTED. I JUST CHANGED THE FRONT HEADLIGHT BULBS A MONTH AGO AND THE NOW THE DRIVERS SIDE HEADLIGHT IS OUT AGAIN. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD BECAUSE THE HEADLIGHTS GO OUT WHILE DRIVING. THEREFORE I COULD NOT SEE ANYTHING AND NEITHER CAN THE OTHER DRIVERS SEE MY VEHICLE. THIS WAS A TERRIFYING INCIDENT. THIS SAFETY HAZARD IS HAPPENING MORE FREQUENTLY. THE MORNING OF JUNE 24TH, 2019 MY VEHICLE WOULD NOT START SO I HAD IT TOWED TO BENTLEY HYUNDAI. I ASK CHRIS ERICKSON SERVICE ADVISOR WAS THERE ANY SERVICE CAMPAIGNS OR RECALLS FOR MY VEHICLE SINCE I HAD MANY OTHERS FOR MY HYUNDAI SONATA GLS RECENTLY. AFTER ABOUT THIRTY MINUTES HE CAME BACK AND SAID NO WHICH WAS NOT TRUE. HERE IS THE PROOF: HYUNDAI ASSURANCE CAR CARE WEBSITE IT STATES; SERVICE CAMPAIGN T3G DEALER BEST PRACTICE LAUNCH FEBRUARY 15TH, 2019 FOR SONATA/SANTE FE SPORT/ TUCSON ENGINE DTC P1326 WIRING INSPECTION/INSTALLATION AND ENGINE REPLACEMENT (TSB # 19-01-006H SUPERCEDES TSB # 18-01-032-2). IT SPECIFICALLY STATES AFFECTED VEHICLES AFFECTED 2011-2014 MY SONATA (YF) VEHICLES WITH 2.0L TURBO AND 2.4 ENGINES THAT MAY EXPERIENCE THE CHECK LIGHT ENGINE WARNING LAMP ILLUMINATED WITH DTC P1326. ACCORDING TO BENTLEY HYUNDAI SERVICE DEPARTMENT IT WAS A SWITCH ISSUES WHICH CAUSED THE PROBLEM. I PAID $572.36 FOR REPAIRS. ON 11/10/2019 I EXPERIENCED THE EXACT SAME ISSUE KNOCKING UNDER THE HOOD AND ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON CONTINOUS BLINKING. I WAS ALMOST HIT BY AN 18 WHEELER BECAUSE MY VEHICLE DECREASED IN SPEED DRASTICALLY, PULL TO THE SHOULDER DROVE VERY SLOW TO ADVANCE AUTO TWO MINUTES AWAY. THEY DID A DIAGNOSTIC CODE WAS P1326. I WAITED FIVE HOURS FOR A TOW FROM NASHVILLE, TN TO BENTLEY HYUNDAI IN HUNTSVILLE, AL WHICH COST ME $475. NOW HYUNDAI IS ASKING ME FOR $6785.82 FOR AN ENTIRE NEW ENGINE.

THAT IS HAS BECOME VERY COMMON WITH MY CAR( HYUNDAI SONATA) AND THAT I HAD TO REPLACE THE WHOLE SYSTEM. I FOUND OUT THAT IS WHAT I HAVE TO DO AND A TOTAL OF $500 TO GET BOTH DONE. I MISSED MY DUE DATE TO GET THWM FIXED BECAUSE IT WASNT A SIMPLE REPLACE THE LIGHT BULB FIXED AND REQUIRED MORE MONEY. IF THIS IS TRUE WHY HAVEN'T THERE BEEN A RECALL ON THE BRAKE LIGHTS? BRAKE LIGHTS ARE VERY IMPORTANT AND UNSAFE IF THAT ARE NOT WORKING HENCE WHY IT IS AGAINST THE LAW. IF MOST LR ALL YOUR CARS ARE HAVING THIS PROBLEM YOU SHOULD BE THE ONES TO FIX THIS PROBLEM.
