REPAIR ORDER WAS MADE NOV 14TH 2019. I WAS GIVEN A 1-800 NUMBER TO CALL, PLACED 4 CALLS BEFORE MY CASE WAS ESCALATED CORRECTLY. MADE NUMEROUS CALLS TO THE 800 NUMBER AND EVENTUALLY ON 12/5 MAYBE 12/6 AN INSPECTOR CAME AND INSPECTED MY VEHICLE. WITH BASICALLY NO PROGRESS AFTER A MONTH AND A HALF I PICKED UP MY VEHICLE. WITH A COUPLE MORE CALLS TO THE 800 NUMBER AND BEING TOLD WERE "ON HOLD" WITH CHRYSLERS END MY VEHICLE IS STILL NOT FIXED AND THE 800 NUMBER CALLS ALL END WITH WELL LEAVE A MESSAGE FOR WHOEVER IS IN CHARGE WITH YOUR CASE TO CALL YOU, THEY HAVE YET TO CALL GOING ON 3 WEEKS. DURING NORMAL DRIVING DOWN A MOUNTAIN ROAD, BREAK PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR. ATTEMPTS MAKE TO PUMP BREAK WITH NO EFFECT. EMERGENCY BRAKE WAS PULLED WITH NO EFFECT. VEHICLE SLAMMED INTO ROCK WALL AND THEN LANDED INTO A 10+ FOOT RAVINE. WAS INFORMED BY MECHANIC THE MASTER CYLINDER FAILED WHICH CAUSED A NEAR FATAL ACCIDENT WITH 5 PEOPLE IN THE VEHICLE. I RECENTLY FOUND OUT THERE WAS A RECALL ON A REPLACEMENT MASTER CYLINDER FOR THAT MAKE A MODEL BUT CANNOT VERIFY IF THIS WAS A REPLACEMENT PART OR NOT. I CANNOT NOT FIND ANY INFORMATION WITH CASTING NUMBERS OF EFFECTED PARTS. RE: THE RECALLED MASTER CYLINDERS IT REPORTS THE PART WAS AFFECTED IN COLD WEATHER BUT THIS HAPPENED ON A WARM SUMMER DAY. THE RECALL I AM REFERRING TO WAS INITIALLY REPORTED IN 2006. ALL THAT HAPPENED AND THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. MY JEEP HAS THE "DEATH WOBBLE". WHEN HITTING A BUMP (BRIDGE, POTHOLE, ETC.) GOING DOWN THE ROAD, THE FRONT END STARTS TO BOUNCE AROUND AND BECOMES UNSTABLE. THIS USUALLY OCCURS AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND SEEMS TO BE WORSE WHEN TOWING A TRAILER. I HAVE TO COME TO AN ALMOST COMPLETE STOP THE GET IT TO QUIT SHAKING. STEERING AND BRAKING ARE AFFECTED. TIRES CHIRP WHEN TRYING TO STOP BECAUSE ONE OR BOTH FRONT TIRES LEAVE THE GROUND. NEW TIRES, BRAKES (BOTH PADS AND ROTORS), AND SWAY BAR LINKS AND THE PROBLEM STILL PERSISTS. JUST HAD A STATE INSPECTION DONE AND HAD THEM CHECK VERY CAREFULLY THE FRONT END COMPONENTS SUCH AS BALL JOINTS. ALL SEEMED TO BE OK.

I RECEIVED A RECALL REGARDING THE TOW HITCH TO PROTECT THE GAS TANK IN REAR END COLLISIONS. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO HERTRICH OF POCOMOKE, MY CLOSEST JEEP/DODGE/FORD DEALER AND THEY SUPPOSEDLY PERFORMED THE RECALL AND EVERYTHING CHECKED OUT OK WITH THE FACTORY HITCH. I TOOK THE VEHICLE HOME, AND SEVERAL MONTHS LATER WAS UNDER THE JEEP PERFORMING SOME MAINTENANCE. WHEN I LOOKED UP, I NOTICED THAT THE TOW HITCH WAS SEVERLY RUSTED IN SOME SPOTS, AND THERE WERE CHUNKS OF RUST INSIDE THE HOLLOW TOW HITCH. I HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO GET THEM TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT, CONTACTING THEM, AND THE MANUFACTURER SEVERAL TIMES.
