Driver side airbag light and sound indicator continually goes on and off. Dealer states that there is no recall for my vin number and will not entertain fixing unless I pay out of pocket. There was a recall for the RHD models during this year, how were the left hand models not included in this? I’ve read numerous complaints of Jeeps with the same issue post 2010 models. This is a safety issue and should be addressed by the manufacturer/dealer.

While travelling country road (divided highway) cruising at approximately 65 mph (cruise control engaged) the message indicator went "ding" and the check engine light began flashing. I turned on flashers, slowed down and found a commercial driveway into which I could exit and stop off roadway. After turning off ignition I immediately raised the hood and found active fire (flames) to the rear of the intake manifold and forward of the firewall where the wiring harness is located. I instructed my passenger to immediately exit the vehicle. I had bottles of drinking water with us (hot day in Texas) so I took three or four bottles of water and extinguished the flames from both sides of the upper engine. The flames were immediately extinguished indicating no presence of petroleum products fueling the flames. After ensuring that fire was fully extinguished I called a local towing service to come pick us up and drop the Jeep at a local NAPA repair shop. Shop located and ordered a new wiring harness as opposed to trying to repair existing harness. May file a claim with Auto Insurance after repairs are made.

The contact owned a 2011 Jeep Wrangler. The contacts son stated while driving 25 mph the contact was making a right turn when the contact was unable to return the steering wheel back into neutral position. The vehicle had crashed into a guardrail where it came to a complete stop and the airbags did not deploy. The occupants both sustained back and neck pain but did not seek medical treatment. The contact stated no warning lights was illuminated. A police report was taken and the vehicle was towed to insurance lot where it was determined that the vehicle was totaled. The manufacturer was not informed of failure. The failure mileage was approximately 205,000.

IM SURE MY WRANGLER IS NOT THE ONLY 2011 HAVING THIS ISSUE. CONSIDERING WE'VE BEEN DEALING WITH TONS OF DUST AND SOOT IN CALIFORNIA DUE TO WILDFIRES EVERYWHERE, IT IS LIKELY THE DUST TRIGGERING THIS; NONETHELESS FITTING THE PROFILE OF THE RECALL IN 2016 EXACTLY AS IT IS. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT HAS NO RECORD OF THIS IN THEIR SYSTEM ACCORDING TO THEM, I DO. CAUSED ELECTRICAL, RUSTING, CARPETING BUCKLED NOW LOOSE BUNCHING UNDER GAS AND BRAKE PEDALS. RECEIVED NHTSA RECALL NOTIFICATION, OF THE SEATBELTS IN MY 2011 JEEP WRANGLER, ,HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY NOTIFICATION FROM MANUFACTURER. LAST RECALL FOR DRIVERS AIRBAG, TAKATA DANGERS, THE DEALERSHIPS REPAIR DEPARTMENT INSISTED NO SUCH RECALL EXISTED, AND CLAIMS TO HAVE REPLACED THE PASSENGER AIRBAG THAT HAD ALREADY BEEN REPLACED. MY VIN # PULLS UP ALL RECALLS COMPLETED. THIS IS NOT TRUE. I HAVE RECORDS OF DATES OF SERVICE AND PHOTOS. I DON'T HAVE A SCANNER TO UPLOAD THEM. FLOODING OCCURRED WHILE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AND PARKED IN DRIVEWAY OF HOME.

SO THEY (MOPAR/JEEP) HAVE HAD THIS JEEP CLOCK SPRING RECALL ISSUE FOR A WHILE NOW... WE HAVE HAD IT REPLACED TWICE NOW UNDER THE RECALL AND IT IS STILL DOING THE EXACT SAME THING... SO THE RECALL FIX WAS NOTHING BUT A SHAM... IT DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM AND THE PROBLEM STILL PERSISTS AND I AM NOT FIXING IT FOR A THIRD TIME WHEN THE SOLUTION THEY CAME UP WITH FOR THE RECALL IS NOT A SOLUTION IT JUST MASKS THE PROBLEM FOR A LITTLE WHILE...
