I READ DOZENS OF COMPLAINTS FROM PEOPLE ONLINE WHO OWN MITSUBISHI GALANT'S REGARDING MYSTERIOUS PAINT PROBLEMS ON THE HOODS OF THEIR CARS. COMMON PROBLEMS REPORTED IS PAINT FADING BADLY ON THE HOOD, ROOF, AND TRUNK FROM OWNERS WHO HAVE HAD THEIR CAR FOR ONLY A FEW YEARS. I'VE ONLY HAD MY CAR FOR TWO YEARS AND THE ROOF OF MY CAR HAS FADED BADLY THROUGH NO FAULT OF MY OWN. THESE PAINT PROBLEMS HAVE BEEN GIVEN COMPLETELY UNSATISFACTORY EXCUSES BY MITSUBISHI AND AS A RESULT MULTIPLE FORUMS AND WEBSITES. MITSUBISHI SOME HOW NEGLECTED TO ADD THE CLEAR COAT PROTECTION TO ALL BLACK PAINT AND APPARENTLY HAVE ADMITTED TO THIS BUT HAVE NOT TAKEN ANY STEPS TO REMEDY THE SITUATION.
