APPARENTLY NISSAN IS KNOWN FOR PROBLEMS WITH THEIR FUEL LEVEL SENSORS, BUT NOT SPECIFICALLY FOR MURANOS' WELL MAYBE IT SHOULD BE, EVEN AFTER I BOUGHT THE NEW PARTS AND HAD THEM INSTALLED WITH A MECHANIC, THEY STILL DO NOT WORK OR FUNCTION PROPERLY.WHEN I FILL UP THE TANK THE LEVEL SENSOR DOESN'T GO PAST A QUARTER OF A TANK NOW, IT DROPS RAPIDLY AND I HAVE EVEN NOW RAN OUT OF GAS WHEN IT SAYS IT HAS GAS IN THERE OR MILES TILL EMPTY. THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM, MAYBE IT SHOULD BE FIXED.

WE FIRST STARTED HAVING ISSUES WITH THE IGNITION COILS AND SPARK PLUG GOING BAD, CAUSING OUR CAR TO STOP AND SHAKE. HAD THEM REPLACED AND A MONTH LATER THE CAR STARTED MAKING AN UNGODLY RATTLE NOISE. ALMOST LIKE A LOUD FAN TYPE NOISE. IT GETS LOUDER THE MORE YOU DRIVE IT. THE SEVERAL DIFFERENT SHOPS THAT LOOKED AT IT. ALL SAID THE SAME THING, THE LIFTERS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND FAST. AND SAID UNFORTUNATELY IT WAS JUST A MATTER OF TIME. BEFORE MY AXLE AND NAVIGATION SYSTEM WENT OUT MID DRIVE. AND I SHOULD CONTACT YOU BECAUSE THIS WAS NISSAN ISSUE TO FIX. AND THAT WE NEED TO GET RID OF THIS DEATH TRAP. BEFORE IT KILLED ME AND OUR FAMILY.

WHILE DRIVING MY KIDS TO SCHOOL THIS MORNING, I LOST ALL ACCELERATION IN THE MIDDLE OF A BUSY ROAD UNABLE TO MOVE, DRIVE ANYTHING. THE BATTERY, BRAKE LIGHT AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ALL CAME ON AT ONCE. THEY WERE NOT ON PRIOR TO THIS HAPPENING. CLEARLY THIS IS SOME SORT OF MALFUNCTION WITH IN NISSAN. I READ MULTIPLE PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME ISSUES AS ME AND I PLAN TO MAKE THIS KNOWN. IF I HAD BEEN ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN THIS HAPPENED WITH MY KIDS IN THE CAR WE WOULD ALL BE DEAD THIS IS A SERIOUS ISSUES AND IT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED CLEARLY THERE IS SOME SORT OF AND ISSUES WHERE NISSAN HAS A RECALL OR SOMETHING.

NISSAN ALSO SAID THEY COULD NOT HELP OUT FINANCIALLY ON ANY REPAIR WORK/INSTALLATION FEE'S TO REPLACE DEFECTIVE SEAT FRAME. THEY WERE CURT AND ABRUPT. SITTING AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT, I HEARD A LOUD POP. I COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING JUST SITTING THERE. THE BRACKET THAT SNAPPED ON MY CAR IS SO THIN AND FLIMSY IN COMPARISON TO THE OTHERS IT'S A JOKE - AND SO DANGEROUS. I CAN NOT IMAGINE THAT THIS IS A SAFE WAY TO DRIVE A VEHICLE AND I WOULD LIKE TO THINK IT IS NOT THE WAY THAT THE MANUFACTURER TESTED OR INTENDED THE VEHICLE TO BE OPERATED. I'VE DONE A LOT OF RESEARCH ON THE ISSUE AND FOUND THAT THE FAULTY BRACKET IS EXTREMELY COMMON IN ALL THE 2003-2008 NISSAN MURANOS. I ALSO FOUND THAT NISSAN MAKES A BRACKET THAT IS MUCH MORE STURDY AND THEY CHARGE YOU ALMOST $1000 FOR THE REPAIR. THIS SOUNDS LIKE THEY ARE KNOWINGLY ALLOWING THEIR FAULTY AND HAZARDOUS PARTS TO BE INSTALLED AT THE ASSEMBLY LINE INSTEAD OF USING THE UPGRADED BRACKET THAT IS ONE SOLID PIECE OF METAL. THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF REPORTS ON THE INTERNET OF THIS PART FAILING IN MANY YEARS OF THE MURANO VEHICLE AND AN UPDATED STRONGER PART IS NOW AVAILABLE. THIS HAS BEEN AN ON GOING PROBELM WITH THE MURANO AND FEEL THIS TYPE OF INCIDENT SHOULD BE THE SUBJECT OF A RECALL AND REPAIRED FOR NO COST TO THE OWNER. *TR
