IN DECEMBER 2017, WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND MAKING A LEFT TURN, THE BRAKES WENT SOFT AND ALL OF THE WAY TO THE FLOOR. THE MASTER CYLINDER WAS REPLACED SHORTLY THEREAFTER. ALL OF THE BRAKE LINES WERE BLED. FOUR MONTHS LATER, THE BRAKES WENT SOFT AGAIN AND ALL OF THE WAY TO THE FLOOR. AFTER PUMPING THEM ABOUT 10 TIMES, THEY RETURN TO NORMAL. THE MASTER CYLINDER WAS REPLACED A SECOND TIME. SO FAR, THE BRAKES HAVE BEEN WORKING BUT AFRAID THIS WILL HAPPEN AGAIN WITHOUT WARNING. I DO NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING THIS CAR ANY LONGER.

RECENTLY HAD TO REPLACE THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKE (ABS) ACTUATOR PUMP ON MY 2009 NISSAN MURANO. THE VEHICLE STARTED UP FINE WITH NO PROBLEMS AND WAS ABLE TO MAKE IT TO THE HIGHWAY WITH NO ISSUE AT ALL. IT WAS LATE AT NIGHT SO THERE WAS NO TRAFFIC AT ALL AND WE WERE TRAVELING FOR ABOUT 30 MINUTES ON CRUISE CONTROL (NO NEED TO BRAKE) UNTIL WE NEEDED TO EXIT. WHEN WE WERE TRYING TO EXIT THE HIGHWAY I NOTICED THERE WAS NOW A VERY LOW PEDAL, I HAD TO PUT THE PEDAL ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR TO GET THE VEHICLE TO STOP. THERE WAS NO WARNING LIGHTS OR NOTIFICATION OF A FAILURE. WE WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND FOUND OUT THAT THE ABS ACTUATOR PUMP NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. WE WERE TOLD THAT THEY RECENTLY HAVE BEEN REPLACING SEVERAL OF THESE ACTUATOR PUMPS ON THE MURANOS.

I WAS SCARED OB BEING KILLED. ALSO, MY PASSENGER AIR BAG INDICATOR LIGHT IS ON STATING IT IS OFF. HAS BEEN ON SINCE ISSUE BEGAN. REPORTED PROBLEM TO NISSAN, BUT THEY HAVE YET TO GET BACK TO ME. THIS IS A MAJOR PROBLEM AND A HUGE SAFETY CONCERN. THIS PROBLEM SEEMS TO STEM FROM A PRESSURE PROBLEM WITHIN THE MURANO.
