Summary of Complaint

TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE (TCM) FOR THE CVT, THE TCM MAY DETECT AN ABNORMALITY IN THE CVT PULLEY RATIO UNDER AS A RESULT OF THE UNUSUAL MOVEMENT OF THE STEPPER MOTOR. THE MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LIGHT (MIL) MAY ILLUMINATE AND THE CVT COULD GO INTO A FAIL SAFE MODE RESULTING IN THE VEHICLE LOSING ACCELERATION. CONTACTED THE SUZUKI CORPORATION AND THEY STATE MY VIN IS NOT SHOWING THIS RECALL HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE IS DOING THE EXACT SAME THING. RECALL NOTICE HAS BEEN OUT FOR THIS EXACT YEAR, MAKE AND MODEL OF THIS VEHICLE, BUT DENIES THAT IT'S FOR THIS VEHICLE. WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY THIS VEHICLE WENT INTO LIKE A SAFETY TYPE MODE AND WOULD NOT ACCELERATE, AND THE VEHICLE WILL NOT EXIT THE FAIL SAFE MODE AND NEEDS DEALERSHIP ATTENTION. I ALMOST DIED ON THE HIGHWAY FROM THIS ISSUE. *TR

Summary of Complaint

THE CAR HAS LOW MILEAGE. FIRST THE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM WENT OUT. WE CALLED SUZUKI TO SEE IF THERE WAS A RECALL, THEY SAID NO. WE HAD TO SEARCH FOR A PART AND FINALLY HAD IT REPLACED AT GREAT COST. NOW A FEW MONTHS LATTER THIS HAPPENS. THE PASSANGER AIR BAG LIGHT HAS BEEN ON FOR ABOUT 2 WEEKS. CALLED TOYOTA DEALER. HE SAID IT IS PROBABLY JUST A BAD MSG, HAPPENS IN HAWAII ALL THE TIME, SO WE CONTINUED DRIVING IT. WHILE DRIVING THE CAR ON JAN 6, ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE ISLAND OF HAWAII, AS WE TURNED LEFT ONTO THE MAIN HIGHWAY HEAR OCEANVIEW, ALL THE DASH LIGHTS CAME ON. THE CAR LOST POWER STEERING BUT WE WERE ABLE TO GET IT TO A SAFE PLACE. WE COULD NOT SHUT THE ENGINE OFF UNTIL ABOUT 30 MINUTES LATER. WE HAD THE CAR TOWED TO THE DEALER. WHILE THEY WERE TESTING THE CAR, IT STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF TESTING AND THEY COULDN'T RESTART IT. IT HAD 12 - 15 CODES THAT THEY HAD TO CLEAR. THE AIR BAG LIGHT CAME BACK AND COULD NOT BE CLEARED. NOW ONE WEEK LATER THE CAR IS STILL NOT FIXED AS THERE ARE NO "AIR BAG CONTROL MODULES" AVAILABLE IN HAWAII. IT WILL TAKE 2-4 WEEKS TO GET ONE. WE ARE HAVING TO PAY FOR A RENTAL CAR. WE ONLY HAVE 37,000 MILES!

Summary of Complaint

THE CAR HAS ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS WHILE TRAVELING AT HIGHWAY CRUISING SPEED ON A SUNNY DAY WILL GO INTO A FAILSAFE MODE, AND NO ERROR IS DETECTED BY THE CAR, LOSES THE ABILITY TO DOWNSHIFT, AND LOSES ACCELERATION. HAS BECOME A REOCCURRING ISSUE ON ALL LONG TRIPS AS THE CAR MUST BE ON THE ROAD OVER AN HOUR BEFORE THE INSTANCE WILL OCCUR. ALMOST ALWAYS WHEN IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE WHICH CAUSES DRIVER TO HAVE TO PULL OVER AND WAIT FOR THE CAR TO COOL BEFORE THE CAR WILL ALLOW ITSELF OR THE DRIVER TO DOWNSHIFT EVEN IN AUTOMATIC OR MANU-MATIC CONFIGURATION. PLEASE ISSUE THE SAME RECALL FOR THE 2010 THAT YOU DID FOR THE 2013. I HAVE A VIDEO OF THE INSTANCE OCCURRING IF NEEDED.

Summary of Complaint

AT HI WAY SPEED THE CVT ENTERS LIMP MODE. YOU CAN NOT ACCELERATE. THE VEHICLE DROPS IN SPEED AND YOU MUST PULL OVER AND SHUT THE CAR OFF. THIS HAS HAPPENED THREE TIMES. WE DO DRIVE MOSTLY HI WAY AND FEEL LIKE THIS IS DANGEROUS. WE ALSO OWN A 2013 SAME MAKE AND MODEL. WE DID RECEIVE A RECALL ON IT. THE 2010 VEHICLE WAS MANUFACTURED ON 10/23/2010. PLEASE INVESTIGATE FOR US AS WE ARE IN FEAR OF BEING A HELPLESS SITUATION. THE DATE THAT I ENTERED WAS THE LAST EPISODE THAT WE HAD WITH VEHICLE.THE TWO PREVIOUS EPISODES ALSO HAPPENS AT THAT SAME SPEED.

Summary of Complaint

WHILE DRIVING STRAIGHT DOWN A LEVEL COUNTRY ROAD AT APPROXIMATELY 60MPH IN LIGHT RAIN, DURING THE DAY, THE POWER STEERING SUDDENLY FAILED. THE POWER STEERING WARNING LIGHT DID ILLUMINATE IN THE GAUGE CLUSTER. I PULLED OVER, PUT THE CAR IN PARK, AND TURNED THE CAR OFF. I TURNED IT BACK ON AND POWER STEERING WAS RESTORED. ABOUT 1 YEAR LATER WHILE DRIVING STRAIGHT IN THE CITY DURING DRY WEATHER AT NIGHT, AT ABOUT 30MPH THE CAR AGAIN SUDDENLY LOST POWER STEERING, THE POWER STEERING FAILURE WARNING LIGHT DID ILLUMINATE. I AGAIN PULLED OVER, PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND TURNED IT OFF. I TURNED IT ON AGAIN AND POWER STEERING WAS RESTORED. I'VE HAD NO OTHER ISSUES WITH THE STEERING. I DID CHECK AN ONLINE FORUM FOR KIZASHI 'S WITH POWER STEERING FAILURE AND FOUND ANOTHER PERSON WHO HAD A SIMILAR SUDDEN POWER STEERING FAILURE. UNKNOWN, NO ANSWERS OR EXPLANATIONS FOR THE SUDDEN POWER STEERING FAILURE HAVE BEEN FOUND TO MY KNOWLEDGE. I HAVE NO DOCUMENTATION REGARDING THIS COMPLAINT.

Summary of Complaint

HEADLIGHT BULBS BURN OUT MUCH TOO OFTEN. SINCE 2010, I HAVE TAKEN THE CAR INTO THE DEALER ELEVEN TIMES TO REPLACE ONE OR SEVERAL BURNED OUT LIGHT BULBS. ON ONE OCCASION ALL FOUR PRIMARY BULBS BURNED OUT AT ONE TIME. I HAVE RECEIPTS OF EVERY VISIT. DURING THE LAST CHANGE ON 12/2/15 THE DEALER INFORMS ME THAT SUZUKI WOULD NO LONGER COVER THE BULB REPLACEMENT AND LABOR . THE BUMPER NEEDS TO BE REMOVED TO REPLACE BULBS, SO THIS IS NOT A CHEAP EXERCISE, NOT TO MENTION THE SAFETY PROBLEMS OF BULBS BURNING OUT SO OFTEN.

Summary of Complaint

IN THE PAST 13 MONTHS I HAVE HAD TO HAVE A ENGINE REPLACEMENT IN WHICH THE VEHICLE WAS POURING CARBON MONOXIDE INTO THE CAR, I WENT TO PICK THE VEHICLE UP AFTER BEING REPAIRED FOR OVER A MONTH AT THE SUZUKI DEALERSHIP IN CHARLOTTE, NC. I DROVE THE CAR APPROXIMATELY 1.5 MILES AWAY WHERE THE VEHICLE CUT OFF AS I WAS MAKING A TURN INTO A BUSY INTERSECTION LEAVING ME STRANDED IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC. AFTER SEVERAL MORE WEEKS OF BEING AT THE DEALERSHIP I LEFT WITH A NEW TRANSMISSION ALONG WITH THE NEW MOTOR. 6 WEEKS LATER THE TRANSMISSION BROKE DOWN AGAIN WHEN I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE WITH MY DAUGHTER IN THE CAR. THE TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACED AT A SUZUKI DEALERSHIP IN HICKORY, NC. I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE CAR FOR 6 MORE WEEKS WHEN THE VEHICLE BROKE DOWN FOR A THIRD TIME WHILE I WAS DRIVING THROUGH A BUSY INTERSECTION. NONE OF THESE BREAK DOWNS HAVE RESULTED IN AN ACCIDENT BUT I FEAR THE TROUBLE WITH THIS CAR IS ENDANGERING MY LIFE AND MY CHILD'S LIFE. I HAVE HAD A SUZUKI ENGINE EXPERT FROM THE HICKORY SERVICE CENTER LOOK AT MY CAR AND HE CAN NOT FIGURE OUT WHY THE VEHICLE CONTINUES TO BREAKDOWN THE LAST TIME THE TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACED IN JANUARY OF 2014 I HAD TO REPLACE THE FRONT TIRES I WAS TOLD AN ALIGNMENT WAS NEEDED BECAUSE THE CAR WAS DESTROYING IN THE INNER SIDE OF MY FRONT TIRES. I HAVE HAD TWO ALIGNMENTS AND A WHOLE NEW SET OF TIRES ON THE FRONT OF MY CAR AND AGAIN I AM NEEDING TO REPLACE THEM AND NO ONE CAN TELL ME WHY THIS IS HAPPENING JUST THAT THIS CAR IS PROBLEMATIC. I FEAR THAT I HAVE EXHAUSTED ALL OTHER RESOURCES I WAS SOLD A LEMON AND IF I HAD PURCHASED THE VEHICLE NEW SUZUKI WOULD OF BEEN OBLIGATED TO REPLACE THIS VEHICLE UNDER LEMON LAW BUT BECAUSE I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE USED. I PURCHASED SOMETHING THAT I FEEL COULD ENDANGER MY CHILD OR MYSELF. *TR

Summary of Complaint

TIRES WENT BAD ON THIS CAR VERY FAST. I TOOK THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALER AND THEY EVEN AGREED THEY SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN GOING BALD. I REALLY DID NOT THINK ANYTHING ABOUT IT UNTIL I TOOK THE CAR ELSEWHERE FOR AN OIL CHANGE AND THEY TOLD ME TO CHECK INTO MY WARRANTY. THE DEALER NOT EVEN ROTATED MY TIRES THE OTHER PLACE DID IT, I HAD TO PROVE THAT I HAD THEM ROTATED WHICH I DID. SUZUKI DID NOT CARE. THEY SAID THE TIRES ARE 24,000 MILE TIRES!! THERE HAS GOT TO BE A REASON TIRES GO AT 15000 MILES THIS IS WHEN WE NOTICE THAT WE WERE GOING TO NEED TIRES. WATCH THEM WE ALWAYS THOUGH GOODYEAR/DUNLOP WAS A DECENT TIRE. *TR
