I HAD PROBLEMS WITH MY CARS OIL CONSUMPTION AND WAS NEVER NOTIFIED FROM TOYOTA THAT THERE WAS A RECALL BACK IN MAY 2015 FOR ENGINE OIL CONSUMPTION REPAIR. THE SHOP IS NOW TELLING ME I HAVE A BLOWN PISTON FROM WHAT THEY CAN HEAR. I HAVE RECORDS THAT I NEVER MISSED AN OIL CHANGE AND EVEN HAVE PROOF FROM FIRESTONE COMPLETE CARE WHEN MY CAR WAS CHECKED FOR OIL LEAKS. THERE WERE NONE FOUND. TOYOTA IS REFUSING TO REPAIR MY VEHICLE BECAUSE THEY SAID IT'S TOO LATE TO DO AN OIL CONSUMPTION TEST. WE HAVE A 2007 CAMRY XLE AND THE CAR SURGES WHEN THE CRUISE CONTROL IS ON AND GOING UP A HILL. IF THE CRUISE IS SET FOR 67MPH THE CAR HAS A ABOUT 2300 RPM. GOING UP A MODERATE HILL, THE CAR DOWNSHIFTS AND GOES TO 3400 RPM. IT THEN SURGES TO 4700 RPM WHICH PUTS THE DRIVERS HEAD INTO THE HEAD REST. THE ISSUE HAS BEEN GOING ON SINCE WE BOUGHT THE CAR IN MAY OF 2007. WE CALLED OUR LOCAL DEALER(TOPSHAM, MAINE LEE TOYOTA), AND THEY SAID IT WAS WHAT THE COMPUTER WAS PROGRAMMED TO DO. I ASKED AGAIN THE 1ST TIME I HAD IT IN FOR SERVICE AND RECEIVED THE SAME RESPONSE. I had a rollover accident in my Camry on 5/13/2021. My brakes locked up which sent me into a spin and then eventually flipping over an embankment. Only one of my airbags deployed and it was the passenger door airbag. The rest of the airbags did not go off. Yes the vehicle is still available for inspection. My safety was put at risk because of the brake malfunction and subsequently because of the airbags not deploying in the manner they are aupoosed to. I rolled the vehicle I'm sure the manner in which h I wrecked would have caused all airbags to deploy. No I never seen a brake or a airbag light on my dashboard. No one else has inspected the vehicle components other than an insurance claims rep to determine my vehicle is a total loss. I'm unsure on who I could have look at it without compromising the integrity of the findings. The brakes however were worked on by jd byrider a week and a half before the accident. They changed my rotors.

Summary of Complaint

THE AUTO WAS ORIGINALLY KEPT YEAR ROUND IN MINNESOTA. WE HAVE A PLACE IN ALAMO TX 2 YEARS AGO WE DROVE THE CAMRY DOWN TO TEXAS AND FLEW BACK TO MINNESOTA. WE LEFT THE CAR IN A GARAGE. THE FALL OF 2020 IS WHEN WE DISCOVERED WE HAD A STICKY DASH. WE CALLED TOYOTA IN PHARR TX THEY SAID THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THIS BUT THE TIME HAD EXPIRED FOR US TO GET IT FIXED UNDER THE RECALL ABOUT 2 YEARS AGE. BECAUSE THE CAMRY WAS IN MN FOR THE MAJORITY OF ITS LIFE, THE PROBLEM WASN'T DISCOVERED UNTIL THE FALL OF 2020, 2 YEARS AFTER THE REBATE EXPIRED. THE TECHNITION AT PHARR TOYOTA SAYS THAT HEAT AND HUMIDITY CAUSED THE PROBLEM. THUS THE HEAT AND HUMIDITY IN TEXAS FOR 2 YEARS BROUGHT THIS PROBLEM TO LIGHT 2 YEARS AFTER THE REBATE EXPIRED. THE DASH IS STICKY AND ITS A SHINY REFLECTIVE SURFACE THAT RELECTS LIGHT, HAMPERING VISABILITY WHICH IS DANGEROUS. WE REQUEST TOYOTA FIX OUR DASH.

AS SOON AS I DROVE THIS CAR OFF THE LOT, THE "TIRE BALANCE" LIGHT CAME ON. THE TIRES WERE LOW SO I PUT AIR IN THEM AND THE LIGHT IS STILL ON. THE FRONT BUMPER SKIRT SCRAPES ON EVERY DIP IN THE ROAD IT SEEMS, SOUNDING HORRIBLE. THEN, IT GOT CAUGHT ON A PARKING STOP WHICH LOOSENED THE SKIRT SO IT NOW HANGS EVEN LOWER AND SCRAPES BOTTOM OVER EVERY CRACK IN THE ROAD.
